"Voices of the World" - My experience in the PCA International Forum is little comparing to many other people's. The first that I participated, in Brazil, was plenty of rich moments - especially for a new member of the community as I was at that time - both in acquiring and sharing knowledge as well as connecting to the people I met there. In 2015, in Romania, the Forum meant to me a genuine encounter of cultures and a strengthening of relationships. The last one, in Argentina, was a nice chance I had to show my work as a person-centred music therapist and a person interested in art as a way of expression of the self and connection to the others. In all three events we had informal and wonderful moments of making music and singing together. So the topic "Voices of the World" sounds perfect to me in all senses - joining our voices both to spread the word of the PCA community and also singing to celebrate life. I'm sure that we may have all conditions to repeat such rich moments in Paris-Dourdan 2019.

"Voices of the World" - The name of the PCA 2019 international meeting : it's a beautiful name that offers every participant the opportunity to share their own voices, opinions, feelings, and also to include and integrate others, one of the values of being Person Centered. In my point of view, through my experience in the elderly field for the last 11 years, one of the big problems in the relationships is the difficulty of listening, integrate and respect others that think, feel, and behave different. For this reason I believe that the name of the Forum is an opportunity to think together how we could find ways to help each one in our micro worlds to be aware of this situation and facilitate the process of becoming agents of social change.

"Voices of the World" - This is incredibly relevant to our world at this current time given the civil and political complexities facing us such as global warming, international relations, plastic domination (!), eco-conservation, power and powerlessness, gross inequalities in economics, technological developments outstripping ethical considerations and so on. And each of these societal issues and so many more will continue to impact all individuals, families and communities right around the world. The principles of the Person Centred Approach offer us a template through which to live and relate to each other and to small and large groups. The world today is more than ever profoundly interconnected, rendering the world's population as completely co-dependent and inter-related. The Forum theme: ‘Voices of the World' will provide participants with a central stimulating focus in which to reflect and consider the wide variety of issues facing us at this time, whatever identity, nationality, culture, orientation we originate from.

Cris Rocha (Brasil)
"Voices of the World" - I just loved it! We are in a special moment that listen and to be listened are difficult day by day. So, this theme makes strong the difference between us, our different voices from the same world. It´s very beautiful and political and educational and social act. Let´s listen to each other. Let´s talk to each other. Let´s compose a symphony together!

Elisabeth Kremer (France)
"Voices of the World" - Le monde, la planète a aujourd'hui besoin de faire

"Voices of the World" - This is the first Forum I will attend in my life, and I'm so excited to live it. What I constantly experience in my life is that we can better ourself and our community when we share our experiences. And we really have to hear "voices of the world", not only "voices of our countries". In my experiences abroad with rogerian communities, I deeply understood that we had studied the same approach, but each national group expresses it in a peculiar way. Who correctly understood the meanings? Everyone. So our community can better itself only comparing these ways of express the approach, because the community is something more than the simple amount of its parts. Everytime I live an experience with 'Rogerians' from other Countries, I experience being part of a flow that will change me forever. And the most amazing thing is that, if I can't understand the language, when I stop feeling me incompetent I start experiencing the meanings of the person in front of me on my body: pure empathy. This is the why I thank the French friends for this opportunity and I hope to hear a large number of "voices of the world" next year.

Fabienne Felix (Switzerland)

Gay (Swenson) Barfield (Hawaii –USA)
"Voices of the World" - The theme of this year conference brings me back deeply moving memories of the first international conference in 1978 in El Escorial, Spain. André de Peretti had arrived I La Jolla from Paris, to visit with Carl, I ating as his translator and co-catalyst / convenor, to envision among many of us at Center for Studies of the Person (Csp), a multi-nation 10 days workshop, to be co-facilitated by 8 different european/american male/female team members, with focus on politics. Among 126 attendees speaking 6 languages and with Carl as our catalyst, we worked together over the workshop collaboratively and intensively to understand each other across profound differences. It was at this event where Carl first spoke about, and wrote out by hand, his famous easter day statement on his definition of power in groups and democratic actions. All so needed in our world today. So, how much I now anticipate joining you all once again, being by then 83 years old, and/or anew in 2019 in Paris. Love.

"Voices of the World" - These days, to organize cross-cultural and international events based on humanistic principles is more relevant than ever. This will contribute to sensitize participants to their own prejudices and therefore foster a welcoming of diversity in many respects - at the same time strengthening tendencies which run counter to xenophobia and racism. The actualizing tendency won't do the job for us. It is up to every single human being to engage in activities that, nurtured by empathic benevolence, strive for equality and justice – maybe not even for enhancing these qualities but simply to defend standards which have been achieved.

Ghizlaine Chraibi (Marocco)

Irina Yakimanskaia (Russia)
"Voices of the World" - In my opinion, the two main problems of our world-is trust and security, people often take one for the other, confuse them, think that if there is trust, you can't decide not pay attention to security, but if there is security, trust appears automatically. I think we need to build trust and take care of security. Trust is built very slowly, through the fulfillment of promises, cooperation and mutual assistance, security is taken care of, carefully considering the risks to the world. These two works are important to do every day with yourself, with other people, the peace is not a gift, I'is a great job, our work.

Javier Panziera (Argentina)
"/ "I believe, a treatment is nothing more than the way in which we treat each other, and the way in which we are facing as a global society the otherness goes through the path of fragmentation and totalization "We vs Them ", as an enemy, a rival or a strange thing. When this chasm is installed in public opinion and in the media, we lose a common ground from which to recognize ourselves. Hopefully, in the month of October of next year, somewhere in France, we will attend the call of all voices to share this special way of being that is Person Centered Approach, to listen to us in the diversity that we are, try to heal the soil and treat us from person to person."

Jean-Marc Randin (Switzerland)

"Voices of the World" - I've attended all Forums since 1995 held in Greece except for the latest in Buenos Aires. I've had very valuable and deep experiences with them. I want to express them. But, I've had struggles to do it by words. I am sure it firmly exist within me. It's something like warm and deeply connected to my friends and myself. It's beyond all languages, nationalities, races, cultures and so on. I've been knowing firmly we are same human being who have love, joy, sadness, sorrow, compassion, anger, hope, hopeless and so on. This Forum is very special for me. I recommend you attend and experience it.

Kjell Ribert - Scandinavia

"Voices of the World" representerer en særlig spennende overskrift.

"Voices of the World" - I appreciate your hard work to prepare the next PCA Forum 20129 in Paris. I hope I can support you in this work. I was lucky to be a participant of seven International Forums on the Person-Centered Approach I will do my best to spread information and invite persons from the Netherlands and Russia to participate in XV PCA Forum in Paris. I have found the title of the XV PCA Forum very interesting. Of course Language make us HUMAN, but the "Voices of the world" made us very unique and are connecting us with our inner world and with other people. One of the greatest experiences in my life was the workshop in Greece, where we have song different songs in a group of 25 people from all over the world. Your own voice is so unique, you can come in a deep contact with others.
Lucas Baptista Albertoni (Brasil)
"Voices of the World" - To live the challenge of trying to encounter ourselves with and among others is not a simple or superficial task: it involves effort and willingness to go further, break barriers and grow. Voices of the world represents the attempt of different people, from different cultures, with different perspectives, necessities and experiences to be heard, to share knowledge and to live one of the most profound and significant moments in life: a human encounter. My personal experience in PCA international meetings and forums has drastically changed my vision of the possibilities of relationship, personal communication and intercultural knowledge exchanging. I really believe in the purpose of these events and I am certainly looking forward to living the experience of the XV International Forum of the PCA in Dourdan, France, 2019.

Magda Draskoczy (Hungary)
"Voices of the World" - Le thème du Forum exprime bien la diversité existante de ses participants et la liberté que nous avons tous de faire en sorte que notre voix soit entendue. La voix de chacun est à la fois ce qu'il y a plus personnel et de plus universel / Forum The topic of the Forum expresses well the diversity of the participants and the freedom of us, participants to make t our voices be heard, voices that are most personal and at the same time most universal.

Marcia Tassinari (Brasil)
"Voices of the World" - I do like the theme of the forum, the voices of the world, which is really necessary nowadays with the great number of people not heard! We do need to be the voice of those unheard people through PCA works! - I think I become "addicted" to the International forums as I joined 12 out of 14 events. I just missed South Africa and Japan, unfortunately. When I ask myself what makes me organize my life (save money, arrange time and get university authorization) to join them, I realized that they are like an itinerant person-centered approach community where I recycle my ideas, I make good new friends, I meet old friends, I have an opportunity to present my work and to show the value of the Brazil's professionals are doing and thinking regarding PCA. They nourish me and I come back with more energy to deal with the life challenges. In a way, the forums offer a significative learning soil. Last but not least I do have fun dancing, singing and drinking with old pals! I hope the forum in France will confirm my preferences for joining it.

"Voices of the World" - There are so many noises in the world today that sometimes it can be hard to hear the voices. Voices spoken loudly or whispered, voices heard distinctly or muffled, voices sung and voices felt, small voices, large voices – each unique and meaningful, each offering the opportunity for contact, presence and actualisation. The Voices of the World are many, but an international forum opens a rarely trodden path to some of them, isolating their signal from most of the noise. It connects people from many parts of the Earth, from different cultures and backgrounds in a rich experience that reaches them theoretically, personally and socially. Like empathy, it is a bridging experience. As I have known it, the International Forum of the Person Centred Approach sounds like an A that helped me become more in tune with myself, with the world I live in, with other people and with the beliefs and theory I feel I belong to. It has helped me hear my own and others'voices clearer amongst all the noise.

Patrick Kauffmann (France)

Paul Diaconescu (Romania)
My time in international meetings is always difficult and amazing for me. It's the place that i found so far away and that moves me the most in my development, or self-expansion. And it's a great place to meet friends that are on my wave length

Philippe Wandeleer (Switzerland)

Roes Willi (France)

Sandor Klein (Hungary)
"Voices of the World" - After my 3 years training on the PCA with Chuck Devonshire in France in 1984 I organized a Cross-Cultural Communication Workshop in my university town, Szeged in Southern Hungary. The 300 people came from all over the world, Carl Rogers and the members of CSP (La Jolla, California) and other experienced and outstanding people from the PCA community had been the facilitators. We had a life changing experience: togetherness, joy, our own power… We had two more workshops in Szeged with Carl Rogers in 1986 and after a 25 year break, we have such meetings again every summer. The experience with people from different cultural backgrounds but the same person-centered attitude is every time heart warming and gives enough power and optimism for the coming year. I look forward to meet you in 2019 in France.
Sandra Pedevilla (France)

Sheila Haugh (Czech Republic)
"Voices of the World" - I understand that Marcia Tassinari once described the PCA Forum as a kind of itinerant PCA community. Perhaps, more than other PCA event, the forum brings together voices from many different cultures and this is reflected in the name of the 2018 event. I was going to write that now more than ever, we need to make room for different voices from our own. But in truth, we always need to make room for different voices. I hope that, this year, as many people as possible can join this itinerant community.

Suzanne Keys (United Kingdom)
"Voices of the World" - It reflects the core of what the PCA forum experience has been for me. It is a unique place to find my own voice and hear other different voices. Being in a large unstructured group with many different languages and groupings struggling to find ways to hear and be heard is challenging but vital not only for my ability to be in the world and in relationship but also for our shared world where dehumanisation, oppression and destruction of our environments is an everyday experience. There are so few places where we can have difficult encounters in a context of trying to be truthful to ourselves but also to hear another's truth in all its diversity. It is a rare space to explore our differences, power dynamics, inequalities and how these affect us individually and collectively. I hope that as many different voices of the world as possible can be heard and responded to here and that this can make a difference in the world we are all part of.

Terry Daly (Scotland)
"Voices of the World" - I am very excited about the forum that will take place in 2019 in France. My past experience of forums is very positive and exciting and helps make sense of some of the difficult processes that are happening in the world. it also supports me as a person and a person centred counsellor.

Tomeu Barcelo (Spain)

Valois Robichaud (Canada)
"Voices of the World" - Voix du monde, voix des âges :

(Jacques Levesque / Valois Robichaud)

Vera Alves (Brasil)
"Voices of the World" - I think it was a happy choice for this theme. We are in a world moment where not everyone can make their voices heard. For me, the profession of psychologist, especially if executed in agreement with the PCA is to help people to express themselves and to fight for their voice to be heard. I think, I believe that being in a group of people practicing PCA around the world will help to express my own voice and maybe to have this voice heard! The experience of the last International Forum in Buenos Aires tells me that the experience that different voices, rather than expressed and heard, can be understood, is now extended to the preparations for the 2019 Forum in Paris. Voilà!

Veniamin Kolpachnikov (Russia)
"Voices of the World" - I consider the topic you have chosen for the Forum quite successful. It is broad enough and, therefore, enables to discuss and to share very broad number of important and actual issues and questions of the PCA in the modern world. Personal, interpersonal, professional, political an other. Besides, it sounds quite nice, poetically. So I support the topic.

Xavier Haudiquet (France)

Xiaoxuan Qu (China)
"Voices of the World" - As human beings, we have a natural tendency to reach out, connect and explore. When we see the world as an appealing and safe place, this tendency keeps expanding. Close connection to other professionals around the world helps me to learn and grow in many ways. The feeling of being part of a community that is warm, caring, empathic and wise, creates a safe base and it encourages me to face uncertainty and difficulties that i need to deal with in daily living. I am indebted to my colleagues, friends and the generations before mine who are devoted to contributing their efforts and knowledge to the improvement of life. Working in the field of education and psychology is an exciting task. We share a serious and unavoidable responsibility of instilling benevolent interest and care in the next generation and the ones that follow.
